CONTEMPORARY BRAZILIAN JEWELS: A DAY AT HOME
Every ethnicity that ever inhabited this planet has produced jewelry. Embedded on a surface, fastened onto a material, hanged from, or worn around, jewels caress, grasp, hold, protect, dress the human body, their most obvious support.

A jewel that is born from a dream, an idea, and then is designed, crafted with mineral, vegetal or animal fragments, is an adornment.

A CASA museu do objeto brasileiro welcomes the jewelry of our people and of our time, revealing ties that go beyond the geographical boundaries of Brazil. The exhibit presents contempororary artists who engage in this craft with boldness, with intent on rescuing hidden preciousness.

The event was broadened to encompass other artistic performances in the opening day of the exhibit. Music, visual arts, dance, photography and cinema will also be part of this dynamic exhibit. The body as mediator of arts.
